The lavender road

Description of the trip

The visit starts with one of the most beautiful villages in france , Gordes and the Abbey of Senanque. Then we take a little road for tourists which leads to Murs, a village located in the heart of the western part of the Vaucluse mounts. Then we drive on to Sault, a wonderful village, 765 meters high overlooking the valley of la Nesque, which is famous for its lavender fields. In this village we’ll visit a craft distillery for lavender and its by products.

In the afternoon, we’ll move to the high Plateau de Valensole on which you’ll take wonderful pictures of the wide lavender fields and take a walk through the quiet streets of this historical village or take advantage of the little shadowy squares. We’ll end the visit with the famous musem of lavender at Coustellet where you’ll be given all information about lavender : mowing, distillation and plantation of lavender, a very interesting museum and a warm greeting.

This trip includes many stops in lavender fields.

The departure of this tour will be from 8:00.

A extra fare will be charged if you start from 30 kms or more from Saint Remy de Provence.
